Janet Jaffe, Ph.D.

Janet Jaffe, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who has been working in the field of reproductive psychology for over 25 years.  She is a co-founder and has served as co-director of the Center for Reproductive Psychology in San Diego, CA. Her clinical work focuses on helping individuals and couples navigate the many emotional and psychological pitfalls that can happen on the journey to parenthood.

Aside from clinical work, she has devoted herself to educating patients as well as other clinicians in the field. She has done extensive writing on infertility and pregnancy loss and is passionate to help others through writing and teaching.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Clinical services for individuals and couples who have experienced reproductive problems, including infertility, miscarriage, premature birth, postpartum depression, and other difficulties related to becoming parents. Also, provide public and professional education on the psychological impact of such events on parents and subsequent children.

Community service organization offering clinical services and education for those who have experienced postpartum-related problems.

Private Clinical Practice, August 1997-Present.
Evaluation and treatment of adults and adolescents in outpatient setting. Services Include short and long-term psychotherapy, individual and couples therapy, and psychodiagnostic evaluations.
